In theory it would be possible to change the settings of the camera at a deeper level (sort of at the OS level) which would mean changes in one app could be seen in others even if iGlasses was not being used. You may find that changes in one app can apply to other apps only when iGlasses is in use. The level at which iGlasses used to changed the output of the camera is not known to me. (Video abilities have already been taken out of Messages).Īs Photo Booth will use some of the same frameworks to access the camera then the same reasons for no access will apply. I have not seen any documentation about this but is likely to make sure that FaceTime's end to end encryption cannot be breached.
